Leica E55 UVa II Filter – Black

The Leica E55 UVa II Filter for Leica M Lenses (Black) is a general use, clear filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is created, and adjustments to exposure are not required while using this filter. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, this filter includes multiple layers of anti-reflection coatings. This filter is designed to mount onto a lens with 55mm front filter threads. It is made of optically pure glass, parallel plane ground and precisely annealed, so the full performance of the Leica M lenses is retained even with a filter attached. The UVa filter primarily performs the role of protecting the front element of the lens, and can be left permanently attached.
